Grandpa Ned and Grammy Penny have a sandbox at their house and our kids love it! The first thing we did was to go to Liberty Land. It's a small, family friendly amusement park. It's put together with used equipment, so it is really reasonably priced. It's mostly geared towards 10 and younger, but even the older kids had a blast. Even the "really big kids" had a great time with Laser Tag. When we got there, we were early, so we went to a nearby park until it opened.
In this picture is Ryan, Addie, Emmy (she made and sold the little flower clips you see in her hair to the family; she was so happy that they sold so well), Michael, Kymball, and Taysum and (I think) little Ken.
Bailey was obsessed with slides at this time. All she did was go up the stairs and down the slide over and over and over and...
Two monkeys in a tree!
I always love watching these two play together. Kymball is always so sweet and patient with Taysum. T loves playing with him and his brother Garrett.

Once we got to Liberty Land it was just fun, fun, fun! They had some fun rides inside and outside. We did the inside rides first. The first thing we went on was this fun little train. Most of the family rode it, but I didn't get a picture of that.
The four of us going down the bouncy slide. It was a lot of fun!!
The first ride we went on outside was the airplane ride. T really loved this ride and went on it a few times.
B's favorite ride (or rather, obsession) was the Carousel. Technically, we were supposed to get off in between rides, but she would scream and kick while we went out one gate and came in another. So, finally, I asked the guy running it if we could just stay on. He was so accommodating! He even ran it for us when we were the only ones! He said it was his favorite ride to run. We literally stayed on this ride for a couple hours. She just LOVED it! The only time we moved was to change horses in between rides. The one other ride she liked was the roller coaster. It's a little kiddie coaster, but it was enough to make me nervous the first time (not that that's hard to do! :) ). I actually had to work while we were down there, so Ken had the kids by himself for a while. He had Uncle Shane take Bailey on the Roller Coaster. Shane wasn't sure about it at first, but he took her and she LOVED it and LOVED him! Uncle Shane was a favorite after that. Taysum and I went on the Roller Coaster once together and we got stuck and had to climb out...it was kind of funny!
Ken and B in the Batmobile!

Uncle Paul, Kymball and Addie
Everyone who went on these boats got SOAKED...but it was really nice since it was a pretty hot day!
That night we had a fun talent show. Each family participated and we had a great variety! Shane sang, "Ghost Binkies in the Sky" and that was a big hit! Michael told a story and had us using our imaginations. Trevor sang a song for us and said the Alphabet backwards!! Garrett and Kymball put on a cowboy/Batman show. Our family did Pixar's "Boundin'" as a skit. Taysum was the sheep and he did such a great job! I also passed my book around. Nick and Mark's families put on a Nature Scene with Little Ken. Ken, Mark and Nick did their ole' reliable "Three Amigos" performance. Emmy played the piano and Sami made up a song for us. It was a really fun night!
The next day was the 4th of July. We started out with a very nice program and Flag Ceremony. We said the pledge and sang "America."
During the weekend we discovered that B LOVES horses! Grammy Penny had some toy horses and they never left B's hands! Grammy even let us take a couple home for her to play with.
After the flag raising, Uncle Mark got out his horses and buggies. We all went on buggy rides and Grammy Penny even taught us a song to sing while we were riding. B still loves that song and we sing it all the time!
Horsey, horsey on your way
We've been together for many a day
So, let your tail go swish and your wheels go round
Giddy-up! We're homeward bound!
That's the first verse...I don't remember the other.
Here is Aunt Alicia and Aunt Leah driving one buggy.
(Ken's family had borrowed this horse to go hunting when Ken was a teenager. Ken had an accident with his gun and Skip was shot. They ended up buying Skip and he has been one of the best horses ever!!)
Taysum wearing Kymball's Spiderman goggles...I think they're upside down! :)
Aunt Jess was a favorite after opening a Pop Ice for Taysum! Uncle Paul and baby Cooper are in the background.
Bailey and Garrett eating Pop Ice on the stairs
After a fun Bar-B-Q, we turned on sprinklers and the Slip 'N Slide in Grandpa's back yard and had fun with the water!
Ken, the true WY redneck! ;)

Later, we took one big family picture and individual family pictures. We had dinner and then Uncle Nick and Aunt Leah put on a little fireworks show for the kids. Taysum was totally fascinated! Uncle Mark and Ken snuck away so Ken could ride Mark's BIG horses Goliath and Maximus. Here is Ken on Goliath. Ken really enjoyed it and handled Goliath really well. Mark was pretty proud of his horse...and his brother.
